Jan 19, 2005: dns3.Public-DNS.org IP changed. Migrated data to main data center. Users with slave domains on public-dns.org may need to update any IP based ACL's for zone transfers on their name servers to include the new IP of 216.226.141.40.
Apr 29, 2004: UPS failed. Briefly out of service. Power has been restored.

Sep 18, 2003: Major Big Fix In our adding and deleting domains code.
Aug 23, 2003: Added support for domains from registrars that require the hosting name server to have the domain live on it before its name servers may be modified.
Aug 11, 2003: Website temporarily down due to a failed UPS.
Aug 5, 2003: dns3.Public-DNS.org IP changed, moved to a network with more capacity. DNS additions, deletes, and modifications where delayed and added to a queue. All DNS additions, deletes, and modifications made during that time have been processed.
Users with slave domains on public-dns.org may need to update any IP based ACL's for zone transfers on their name servers to include the new IP of 216.185.43.42.
July 31, 2003: Added support for changing your login/email address.
July 30, 2003: Temporarily removed support for .ca tlds. We are unable to check settings on .ca root servers to verify zones at this time. A workaround is currently in development.
July 29, 2003: Added support for second level TLDs (com.au, co.uk, etc) and added 64 TLDs to our default list of accepted TLDs.

March 26, 2003: Initial URL Forwarding support added. Currently, you can add url forwarders within any domains you add to public-dns.org. Our URL forwarding supports redirects to fixed pages, URL munging, and cloaked URLs. All additions and changes are effective immediately.
March 6, 2003: dns3.public-dns.net redundant internet access upgraded and transitioned to new provider.
March 1, 2003: IPv6 AAAA record support added to system. Support for A6 records are in development/testing.
Wildcard (*) record type support has been added. You can now specify a record such as:
*.domain.com. 86400 IN A 192.168.0.1
which will match on any queries for A records that are not defined elsewhere in your zone data.
